My Second Finished Project of 2014

Hello! Later this week, I am hoping to have some new patterns to post, but for tonight, I am just showing off my needlepoint cassette tape, which I finished stitching this morning! The pattern for this project came from Big Stitch Cross Stitch, a nifty book by Jacqui Pearce, and since I started this in early January, it officially took me way too long to stitch it. I'm really happy with how it came out, though, and am even happier that I can start a new project now. I still have a lot of plastic canvas, so I'm going to do something else that's bright and clunky looking, probably involving Pokemon, but I'm not sure what it will be yet. Regardless of that, though, here is a slightly less fuzzy than usual photo of my completed project! The background, which was made with Lion Brand bonbon yarn, is cross stitched, and the tape, which was stitched with balls of plain Red Heart yarn, is in half-stitches.
I should probably quit posting now, but before I go, I have one more beautiful photo that I've taken, of something that is may actually be the worst thing anyone has ever brought into any apartment in the history of humanity. Behold, my lovely McDonald's Happy Meal Lego Movie cups. When I first heard that these were a problem, the one with Vitruvius, the Morgan Freeman wizard, was still in the box, though I'm sure that everything will seem so much better once it is discovered that I have two of them. I have to say, though, that I think if you're reading Oscar Wilde while eating your Happy Meal, you should get some sort of "woo, classy!" points that cancel out whatever irritation your dishes are causing. However, the biggest lesson that I have learned from all of this is that there is a subtle line of acceptability between Hello Kitty cups and Lego cups, and I have certainly crossed it. I just wonder which side of that line my plates that look like pink sprinkled donuts are on.
I am done posting for now, but like I said at the start of this post, I should be back soon with new patterns and, hopefully, a picture of some sort of new plastic canvas project! Until then, have a nice start to your week and, if your weather has any similarities to mine in terms of its amount of cruddiness, good luck with that, too!
